As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. Yes, lemurs holw. It's one of their many sophisticated sounds. :3
A Lemur howl can either sound like a Meow, or.. A soft howl. x3
The Meowing howl is used to call to other Lemurs, usually to get them to come find it, (or to tell another Lemur it's on the way) typically when it's night and they're getting ready to go to sleep. But, it's also used to comfort young Lemurs if they feel afraid or lost, like if they've wandered away from their mother. Either the mom will call to it, or other Lemurs will call to it, so it feels safe. <3
