In a zoo. :-) He used to be a pet, and likely won't grow any longer than he is (7 feet) because of not getting the correct nutrition as a youngster. But he's a good boy.

What a pity. I'm guessing that he was kept in the wrong conditions too then? Unbelieveable!

Yeah, likely in too small a place with the wrong nutrition. But now he has a pool plenty big enough, a pretty large enclosure, and they bring him out a lot (they have brought him down onto the college campus connected to the zoo and put him in the sprinklers. :-D)
